NAET (Nambutriapds allergy Elimination Technique)  identifies allergies and can be treated long term, so avoidance is unnecessary.

NAET uses a diagnostic technique called muscle testing to identify allergies and treat them using special acupressure points along the spine.

The vet uses a surrogate person (nurse) who places their hand on the animal and via this the tester (Vet) can test for muscle strength for individual substances.

 The surrogate extends one arm and places the other hand on the patient. Various substances contained in glass vials  ( or plastic bags as I collected them) are placed on the patient by the surrogate. While the substance  is held against the patient, the practitioner  touches the surrogate's extended arm, If a sensitivity to a substance is detected, the arm will go weak. Once the sensitivities are identified, a quick, painless and non-invasive acupressure treatment through the surrogate is used to rebalance the pet's nervous system response to the identified allergens. Muscle Testing is also utilized in the prescriptive phase to identify any additional necessary medications and to individualize dosages.

 I collected substances such as dust, food, collars, grass, bowls, or whatever Ernie will come in contact with. They also use test kits. I had to take washing powders, dish washing powders, my make up, hand creams, bedding, toys, everything he touches.

The arm (muscle) tells Viv what is to be treated that day. Viv then asks how long the substances need to stay on Ernie. Usually 10 mins.  

The treated substance is avoided for full intergration of the nervous system. Usually 10-12 hours, but with Ernie it was 27 hours or a little longer.
